Pokémon experience comes to Changi Airport and Jewel this season

Changi Airport and Jewel have launched Pokémon-themed experiences designed to engage families visiting or transiting through Singapore's main aviation hub. The initiatives bring character-based entertainment to high-traffic areas, offering visitors interactive attractions and photo opportunities featuring the popular gaming franchise.

The Pokémon installations join a broader calendar of family-oriented programming at both venues, which have increasingly positioned themselves as entertainment destinations beyond their core functions. Jewel, which opened in 2019 as a retail and leisure complex adjoining the airport terminal, has regularly hosted themed experiences and exhibitions to attract local and international visitors.

Simultaneously, theatre groups across Singapore are contributing to the family entertainment landscape through educational productions. The Little Players, a puppetry-focused theatre company, is presenting shows addressing social issues such as bullying through age-appropriate storytelling and performance techniques. Such productions underscore a growing trend of using arts programming to engage younger audiences on behavioural and social themes.

These concurrent initiatives reflect strong consumer appetite for curated family activities in Singapore, where parents increasingly seek structured entertainment options combining leisure with educational value. Both commercial venues and independent arts organisations are capitalising on this demand to create offerings that appeal to households seeking quality time together.
