Poland PM Tusk urges India to deepen ties through joint ventures

Poland's visiting Prime Minister Donald Tusk Friday underscored the importance of converting India-Poland strategic partnership commitments into actionable joint ventures spanning technology and advanced sectors. Speaking at the India-Poland Business Forum, Tusk highlighted technology, artificial intelligence, and aerospace as priority areas for deepened bilateral cooperation.

"Now it is time to translate these declarations into joint ventures," Tusk said, calling for greater technological collaboration to strengthen both economies and enhance their competitive positioning in global markets. The Polish leader emphasized that strengthened tech ties would benefit both nations' broader economic development strategies.

Addressing Bengaluru's emergence as a global technology and innovation hub, Tusk pointed to the city as evidence of how investments in human capital, knowledge creation, and entrepreneurial ecosystems can fundamentally reshape an economy's trajectory and global standing. He advocated for India and Poland to harness similar developmental models through coordinated technology initiatives.

The remarks signal Poland's interest in moving beyond traditional bilateral trade frameworks toward deeper integration in emerging technology sectors, positioning both nations for enhanced participation in high-value global markets.
