Police arrest major drug suspect, recover P1 million in methamphetamine in Iloilo
A 48-year-old man identified as a high-value drug trader was arrested during a controlled buy-bust operation in Iloilo province on Friday. Police seized approximately 150 grams of methamphetamine valued at around one million pesos.

Police Regional Office 6 operatives apprehended the suspect, known by the alias "Jojo" and based in San Joaquin town, during the undercover operation conducted in Buyu-an village, Tigbauan municipality. The arrested individual is believed to be a significant player in the regional drug trade. The contraband recovered during the raid was turned over to authorities for further investigation and documentation. The suspect is currently in police custody facing charges related to the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Officials did not immediately disclose additional details about the operation or potential connections to larger drug distribution networks. The case remains under investigation by regional drug enforcement units.
