Police and the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) have concluded their investigation into a work injury claim involving a former Sumo Salad worker, determining that no cheating or fraudulent activity occurred. The investigation, which examined the circumstances surrounding the claim, found insufficient grounds to pursue criminal charges against the claimant. As a result, police have decided not to take further action in the matter. The decision brings closure to the matter after both authorities conducted their respective reviews. MOM and police regularly investigate workplace injury claims to ensure the integrity of Singapore's workplace safety and compensation systems, though most claims are processed without incident.
