Police couple rescue five from overturned vehicle on expressway

A quick-thinking police constable and his wife intervened to rescue five occupants from a vehicle that overturned on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway in Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh. Constable Amit Tewatia and his wife Archna Singh, who were passing through the area, immediately stopped their vehicle and initiated rescue operations at the accident site.

With occupants trapped inside the overturned car and unable to open the doors and windows through conventional means, Tewatia employed his service rifle to break the vehicle's glass panels. Working in tandem, the couple managed to extract all five trapped occupants from the wreckage and move them to safety.

The incident highlights the critical importance of immediate intervention in accident situations and the willingness of citizens and law enforcement personnel to respond to emergencies. The rescue operation was completed before emergency services arrived at the scene. The condition of the rescued occupants was not immediately reported.
