Three mortar bombs were safely detonated by police in Dengkil village following their discovery during routine scrap metal sorting, according to Sepang police chief Norhizam Bahaman.

The resident who uncovered the items was sorting through scrap metal from a waste collection bin located outside a residential property when he made the discovery. Upon realizing the dangerous nature of the find, he promptly alerted local authorities.

Sepang police responded swiftly to secure the area and coordinate with the relevant explosive ordnance disposal team. The controlled detonation was carried out to neutralize any potential threat posed by the mortar bombs.

The incident highlights the importance of public vigilance when handling discarded materials. Residents are reminded to report any suspicious or potentially dangerous items discovered during waste management activities to the nearest police station immediately.
