Police investigators concluded their preliminary assessment of pre-Puja incidents without evidence of a larger coordinated effort, according to statements from law enforcement officials. The 34 cases, which occurred in the days preceding the religious observance, were examined for potential links to organized groups or networks seeking to disrupt communal harmony.
Authorities determined that each incident should be treated as separate cases with distinct circumstances and motivations. Investigators found no intelligence suggesting coordination among perpetrators or involvement by organized criminal networks in the reported violence.
The police assessment comes as community leaders and religious organizations have emphasized the importance of maintaining peace during major festivals. Enhanced security measures were implemented across areas with significant Hindu populations during the pre-Puja and Puja period.
While confirming the incidents occurred, officials stated that preventive measures and community engagement efforts contributed to containing potential escalation. Investigations into individual cases continue, with authorities urging residents to report any suspicious activity to local police stations.
