The Police Regional Office – Region 12 (PRO-12) has established a Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) dedicated to expediting the inquiry into the deadly shooting incident at Banga National High School in South Cotabato province. The formation of SITG-Banga was announced by Brigadier General Alan Manibog, the regional police director, on Wednesday. According to Manibog, the specialized unit was created to accelerate investigative efforts beyond the standard protocols, ensuring that the case receives heightened attention and resources. The task group is expected to coordinate with local law enforcement and other relevant agencies to gather evidence, interview witnesses, and pursue leads related to the incident.
