Police hunt motorcycle gunmen in fatal Cagayan de Oro shooting

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — Authorities are searching for motorcycle-riding suspects involved in the fatal shooting of a city resident in the Camaman-an district here.
The victim, identified as Marlou Valmoria, 50, of Barangay Bonbon, was shot in the head during an attack in Sitio Bontong, Barangay Camaman-an at 11:15 a.m. on Friday, September 25. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the assailants fled the area on a motorcycle immediately after the shooting. Officers have begun canvassing the neighborhood for witnesses and surveillance footage that could help identify the suspects.
The motive for the killing remains unclear as investigators piece together details of the incident. The case has been classified as murder, and authorities are appealing to the public for any information that could aid the investigation.
