COTABATO CITY — Police in President Quirino municipality, Sultan Kudarat province, have launched a manhunt for two persons of interest in connection with the fatal attack on a barangay chairman that occurred Monday.

Maj. Aljun Besario, chief of the President Quirino municipal police, said Wednesday that investigators are continuing case development and conducting follow-up operations aimed at identifying and locating the suspects.

The killing of the village leader has prompted heightened police activity in the area as authorities work to piece together details surrounding the incident. The investigation remains ongoing, with law enforcement officials pursuing several leads.
