CID director M Kumar told reporters that injuries found on the deceased's body were consistent with blunt force trauma and were not self-inflicted. The findings have prompted authorities to pursue a criminal investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
The case marks a significant development as police work to establish the sequence of events that led to Noorizwan's demise. Investigations are ongoing as authorities gather evidence and statements from relevant parties.
Under Section 331 of Malaysia's Penal Code, a person can face charges if their act causes death by doing anything that is rash or negligent and likely to endanger human life or personal safety. The charge carries a maximum sentence of two years' imprisonment, a fine of up to RM1,000, or both.
