The Police have commenced a dedicated investigation into a video circulating across social media platforms that purportedly shows a child of approximately 11 years old engaged in drug use. Following the identification and verification of the video's authenticity, the specialised Police Bureau for the Prevention of Abuse of Children and Women stepped in to lead the inquiry.
The investigation was initiated on the direct instructions of Deputy Inspector General of Police Darshika Kumari, underscoring the seriousness with which authorities are treating the matter. Investigators are working to identify all individuals involved in the creation, distribution, and potential circumstances surrounding the recording of the video.
The case falls under provisions relating to child protection and drug-related offences.
