Police mobilize security measures ahead of three-day transport strike

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) is implementing enhanced security measures and commuter support services in preparation for a three-day transport strike beginning Monday. Brig. Gen. Christopher Abrahano, the NCRPO's officer-in-charge, has directed all police districts and stations across the capital region to establish coordination mechanisms with local government units, transport authorities, and partner agencies.

The mobilization aims to address potential disruptions to public transportation while maintaining order throughout Metro Manila. Police units will be positioned at major transit hubs and key thoroughfares to assist affected commuters and manage traffic flow during the work stoppage.

The NCRPO's directive emphasizes inter-agency cooperation to mitigate the impact on the region's residents and businesses. Commuters are advised to prepare for possible delays and service interruptions as the transport sector participation in the strike could affect jeepneys, buses, and other public vehicles.
