Police nab 48 drug suspects, seize P1.7M shabu in Caraga operations

A week-long coordinated anti-drug campaign across Caraga has resulted in the arrest of 48 suspects and the confiscation of at least P1.7 million worth of suspected methamphetamine, police said Monday.

SAN FRANCISCO, Agusan del Sur — Philippine National Police operatives conducted synchronized anti-criminality operations throughout Caraga (Region 13) that concluded with significant drug seizures and multiple arrests, according to regional police leadership.

Brig. Gen. Rolindo Suguilon, director of Police Regional Office-13, reported that the weeklong campaign resulted in the arrest of 48 drug suspects. Officers confiscated a total of 257.31 grams of suspected shabu valued at approximately P1.7 million during the enforcement actions.

The coordinated operations underscore police efforts to combat illegal drug trafficking in the Mindanao region. The suspects are expected to face charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
