Police nab suspect with half-million pesos worth of drugs in South Cotabato
Authorities arrested a 30-year-old man and confiscated approximately P510,000 worth of suspected methamphetamine during a controlled buy-bust operation in South Cotabato province. The operation took place Friday morning in a town along the national highway.

Police Regional Office 12 (PRO-12) conducted the buy-bust operation at approximately 11:09 a.m. on October 2 at a waiting shed along the national highway in Barangay Silway, Polomolok town. The suspect, identified as a 30-year-old male, was taken into custody following the transaction. Authorities recovered the suspected shabu, valued at around P510,000, during the operation. The arrested individual faces drug trafficking charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The confiscated narcotics have been turned over to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) for further investigation and documentation. The operation marks another significant drug seizure for PRO-12 as law enforcement continues intensified anti-narcotics campaigns across the region.
