Police nab three suspects, seize P592,000 in drugs in Lucena

LUCENA CITY — Police arrested three individuals on suspicion of drug trafficking following coordinated buy-bust operations conducted throughout the city on Thursday, with authorities confiscating approximately P592,000 worth of suspected crystal methamphetamine.
Lucena City Police Chief Lt. Col. Ryan Hernandez confirmed the arrests in a statement, noting that two of the three suspects had previous drug-related convictions. Officers conducted the separate operations as part of ongoing efforts to combat illegal drug distribution in the municipality.
The seized contraband was subjected to standard field testing procedures before being turned over to appropriate authorities for documentation and safekeeping. The suspects were placed under police custody pending the filing of appropriate charges before the local prosecutor's office.
The operations underscore regional police efforts to dismantle drug trafficking networks in the Calabarzon region. Police officials pledged continued vigilance against illicit drug activities and called on the community to provide information on suspected drug-related criminal activities in their areas.
