Police nab two drug suspects, seize P3.9M methamphetamine in Lanao del Sur
Law enforcement authorities in Lanao del Sur have arrested two high-value drug personalities and confiscated nearly P4 million worth of illegal methamphetamine in a weekend operation. The seizure marks a significant drug interdiction in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region.

Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR) confirmed the arrests on Saturday, October 10, following an operation that yielded one of the region's larger drug hauls. The two suspects, identified by aliases "Sultan," 37, and "Tricky," 45, were apprehended in separate locations within Lanao del Sur province.
Authorities recovered approximately P3.9 million worth of methamphetamine from the suspects during the operation. According to PRO-BAR spokesperson Capt. Steffi Salanguit, "Sultan" was arrested in Barangay Pindolonan, Piagapo town, while additional details regarding the second suspect's arrest location were not immediately disclosed.
The suspects are currently in police custody facing charges related to illegal drug trafficking. The operation is part of ongoing law enforcement efforts to combat the production and distribution of narcotics in the Bangsamoro region. Authorities have not released further details regarding the investigation or the suspects' alleged drug network connections.
