An Ipoh police officer sustained fractures to both an arm and leg after being struck by a vehicle whose driver was attempting to evade a roadblock, authorities said.
The 29-year-old motorist was apprehended shortly after the collision. Ipoh police chief Najib Hamzah confirmed that subsequent testing revealed the driver had methamphetamine in his system and was operating the vehicle without a valid driving licence.
