Police have completed recording a statement from PAS president Datuk Seri Hadi Awang concerning his recent anti-DAP writings, party spokesperson Syahir Sulaiman said on Monday. The statement was taken as part of an ongoing investigation into the matter. Syahir stated that Hadi remains willing to pursue the case through the courts should it proceed to that stage. The PAS supremo has previously defended his criticisms of the Democratic Action Party (DAP), maintaining that his statements were made in his capacity as a political leader addressing policy concerns. No charges have been filed against Hadi as of the latest update. The development comes amid heightened political tensions between PAS and DAP, coalition partners in the current federal government. Police investigations into political statements have become more frequent in recent months as various parties engage in public disputes over governance and ideology.
