The Philippine National Police conducted the multi-province operations in Pangasinan, La Union, Ilocos Norte, and Ilocos Sur, with Pangasinan recording the highest volume of contraband seized during the enforcement drive on September 22.
The coordinated operations targeted drug trafficking activities across the northern Luzon region as authorities intensify their campaign against illegal narcotics distribution networks. Officers deployed to each province executed search warrants and conducted surveillance operations based on intelligence reports.
The seized methamphetamine, commonly known locally as shabu, has been placed in police custody pending laboratory confirmation and proper disposition. The operations resulted in several arrests, though specific details regarding the number of suspects apprehended were not immediately disclosed.
The Ilocos police regional office has vowed to continue intensified anti-drug operations in communities identified as drug trafficking hotspots. Officials said the sustained enforcement efforts aim to disrupt the supply chain of illegal drugs and reduce their availability in the region.
