Police seize P1.79 million in shabu during NCR drug operations

Police conducted separate anti-narcotics operations in Taguig and Valenzuela cities on Wednesday, resulting in the seizure of suspected shabu valued at P1.79 million, according to the National Capital Region Police Office.

The confiscated methamphetamine hydrochloride had a combined weight of 263.6 grams, authorities said. The operations led to the arrest of five individuals identified as high-value drug suspects operating in the two cities.

The buy-bust operations were part of ongoing enforcement efforts by the NCRPO to combat illegal drug trafficking in Metro Manila. Police said the arrested suspects will face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The seized narcotics and evidence have been turned over to appropriate authorities for further processing and documentation as the cases proceed through the judicial system.
