Police seize P1.87M in drugs, firearms in Oriental Mindoro operation
Authorities in Oriental Mindoro have arrested a suspected major drug trafficker and confiscated nearly 276 grams of methamphetamine valued at P1.87 million during a Thursday search operation in Roxas town.

Police conducted the anti-drug operation in Barangay Bagumbayan, Roxas, Oriental Mindoro, apprehending a 41-year-old resident identified as a high-value drug target. The suspect was found in possession of approximately 275.55 grams of suspected methamphetamine during the search.
In addition to the narcotics, authorities recovered multiple firearms and ammunition from the suspect's residence. Police also seized various drug-related paraphernalia consistent with large-scale distribution operations.
The confiscated methamphetamine was valued at P1.87 million based on current street prices. The suspect faces charges related to the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, with investigators currently determining whether the individual was operating independently or as part of a larger drug network in the region.
The operation reflects ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies to dismantle drug trafficking operations across the Calabarzon region and surrounding provinces. Police said similar operations would continue in identified drug-prone areas.
