Law enforcement in Kadapa district is ramping up security operations in the run-up to upcoming local polls, with police directing strict compliance on tracking foreign nationals in the region. Superintendent of Police Shelke Nachiket Vishwanath has mandated that all details concerning the arrival, stay and accommodation of foreign nationals must be digitally reported using Form-III, a standard documentation procedure under immigration protocols.
The intensified security drive, known locally as CASO (Combing And Security Operation), is part of standard pre-election procedures aimed at maintaining law and order and preventing any potential security threats during the electoral process. Officials have directed all hotels, lodges, guest houses and residential establishments to comply strictly with the digital reporting requirements.
The focus on foreign national documentation is part of a broader security framework that Indian states typically implement during election periods. The move ensures that authorities maintain complete visibility over visitor movements and accommodations across the district during the sensitive pre-poll phase.
Police have appealed to the public and business establishments to cooperate fully with the documentation requirements, emphasizing that compliance is not merely procedural but essential for maintaining electoral integrity and public security. Authorities have also indicated that regular checks and verification drives will continue throughout the election period in Kadapa.
