Police to refer Sepang Umno chief probe file to Attorney General
Authorities have compiled investigation findings into Noorazli Said following dozens of public complaints over an offensive remark. The case file will be submitted to the Attorney General's Chambers for further action.

The Royal Malaysian Police's Criminal Investigation Department will forward its investigation papers on Sepang Umno division chief Noorazli Said to the Attorney General's Chambers tomorrow, according to Bukit Aman CID director M Kumar.
The referral comes after police received 86 reports regarding an inappropriate remark made by Said, which sparked public outcry and prompted law enforcement to launch a formal investigation.
The submission to the Attorney General's office marks the conclusion of the police inquiry phase and will allow prosecutors to determine whether charges should be filed against Said. The Attorney General's Chambers will assess the evidence and legal merits of the case before deciding on next steps.
The incident has drawn significant attention from the public and political circles, with the large number of reports filed indicating widespread concern over the nature of the remarks in question.
Said has previously held various positions within the Umno party structure. The outcome of the Attorney General's review is expected to clarify the legal consequences, if any, arising from the investigation.
