Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday urged all political parties and institutions across the country to present a unified front for the sake of national interest and to counter external adversaries.
Addressing attendees at Dussehra celebrations, Modi stressed that no crisis, regardless of its magnitude or complexity, should compel people to abandon responsibility or defer to others. "May our thoughts be aligned, and may all the institutions of the nation, all political parties, stand together for national interest. We must proceed with this very spirit and we must fight together against the enemies of the country," the Prime Minister said.
Modi reiterated his government's commitment to transforming India into a self-reliant nation. He called for faith in the country's resources and emphasized the need to channel collective determination into tangible progress through indigenous efforts. "We must turn our resolve into power and find solutions through our own hard work. Because Lord Shri Ram taught us that difficulties cannot stop our journey," Modi said, invoking the Hindu epic's central figure.
The Prime Minister further invoked the concept of 'Ram Rajya', noting its foundational principle of ensuring no discrimination against any section of society, underscoring themes of inclusive governance and national unity.
