Power restored after fire disrupts Chinatown electrical substation

A fire at an electrical substation caused a temporary disruption to power supply in a Chinatown area on September 1, affecting residents and businesses in the vicinity.

Emergency response teams attended to the incident, with engineers working to assess the damage and restore services. The fire was contained and did not result in widespread outages across the broader district.

Electricity supply to the affected area was fully restored by 5:25pm the same day, returning normal operations to the neighbourhood. The cause of the substation fire has not been disclosed.
