Power without trust degenerates into greed, warns Selangor Sultan

SHAH ALAM — Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah has issued a stern warning to Muslims about the dangers of wielding power without maintaining trust and integrity, stating that such conduct inevitably descends into greed.

The Selangor ruler emphasized the critical importance of honoring commitments and upholding moral principles, particularly among those in positions of authority. He stressed that power divorced from trustworthiness becomes a tool for self-interest rather than public service.
