President Murmu to visit Vijayawada for temple prayer, SARAS Mela

President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit Vijayawada, the administrative capital of Andhra Pradesh, in coming days as part of her official engagements across the region. The visit will see the President pay her respects at the revered Kanaka Durga temple, one of South India's most significant religious sites dedicated to the goddess Durga.

Beyond her temple visit, the President will participate in the SARAS Mela, a prominent exhibition and market that showcases artisanal products, crafts, and entrepreneurial ventures from across India. The event serves as a platform for rural and semi-urban entrepreneurs to display and sell their wares to a broader customer base.

The presidential visit underscores the government's commitment to engaging with cultural and economic initiatives in Andhra Pradesh. The SARAS Mela, in particular, has become an important annual feature for promoting self-employment and supporting marginalized sections of society through skill-based enterprise opportunities.

Details regarding the exact dates and duration of President Murmu's Vijayawada visit are expected to be finalized by the presidential secretariat in coordination with state authorities.
