Pride Hotels is preparing for a major capital markets debut, planning to raise approximately ₹1,000 crore through an initial public offering by year-end, according to Chief Executive Satyen Jain. The move comes as the chain pursues rapid expansion across multiple hospitality segments.
The company has added nine new properties over the past 12 months, including a recent opening in Indore, bringing its current portfolio to 40 hotels comprising eight owned properties and 32 managed units. More significantly, Pride Hotels has signed agreements for another 32 hotels expected to commence operations within the next 18 to 24 months, which would expand the total portfolio to approximately 72 properties.
Jain outlined a four-pronged growth strategy targeting deepened market penetration in existing locations, expansion of large-format wedding and meetings, incentive, conference and exhibition (MICE) properties, entry into new leisure destinations, and growth in pilgrimage tourism segments. The focus on pilgrimage destinations represents a particular strategic priority for the hospitality group.
The IPO announcement underscores the hospitality sector's recovery trajectory in India, with chains increasingly turning to capital markets to fund expansion ambitions. Pride Hotels' aggressive growth plans reflect confidence in sustained demand across both leisure and business travel segments in the coming years.
