PKR Member of Parliament Wong Chen has urged authorities to investigate claims by PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang that he received offers from foreign parties to help bring down the government.
Wong said the allegations warrant public scrutiny and transparency, particularly regarding what discussions may have occurred and whether representatives of foreign governments were involved in any such approaches.
"The public deserves to know what was discussed and the details of any foreign involvement," Wong said, emphasizing that such matters carry significant implications for Malaysia's political stability and international relations.
Hadi's claims have drawn attention across the political spectrum, with lawmakers from various parties calling for clarity on the matter. The allegations come amid broader discussions about political alignments and potential foreign interference in Malaysia's domestic affairs.
Authorities have not yet publicly responded to calls for a formal investigation into Hadi's allegations.
