Prosus, the technology investment arm of South African media conglomerate Naspers, has injected $100 million into Navi Technologies, marking a significant vote of confidence in the Bengaluru-based financial services platform. The investment comes as Navi prepares for its public market debut through an initial public offering that could value the company at approximately $2 billion.

Navi Technologies, founded by Flipkart co-founder Sachin Bansal, operates as a digital lending and insurance distribution platform serving retail customers across India. The company has emerged as a key player in the fintech space, offering personal loans, insurance products, and other financial services through its digital-first platform.

The Prosus investment provides Navi with additional capital to strengthen its market position and expand its product offerings ahead of going public. Such pre-IPO funding from established institutional investors typically helps companies demonstrate sustained growth momentum and financial health to potential public market investors.

India's fintech sector has attracted considerable attention from global investors in recent years, with several homegrown digital finance companies pursuing public listings. Navi's IPO would add to the wave of fintech companies seeking to tap India's capital markets as consumer adoption of digital financial services accelerates across the country.
