LEGAZPI CITY — The Philippine Science High School (PSHS) has secured a place in the government's proposed 2027 budget with funding for a new campus in Albay province, according to Albay Third District Representative Raymond Adrian Salceda.
The planned facility would be allocated an initial P100 million under the proposed National Expenditure Program, Salceda said in a recent interview. The campus is intended to serve students across the region and expand access to the science-focused institution's specialized secondary education programs.
The PSHS operates as a specialized public secondary school system under the Department of Education, known for its rigorous science and mathematics curriculum. The proposed Albay campus would represent the institution's expansion efforts to reach more students outside Metro Manila and other existing centers.
