PTPTN distributes over RM396,000 to aid disadvantaged students

A total of RM396,500 has been disbursed by PTPTN to assist underprivileged students pursuing studies at public institutions of higher learning across the country. The one-off financial aid was distributed to 793 students from various public universities, with recipients from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) and Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (Unisza) included in the beneficiary list. Each selected student received RM500 as part of the assistance programme. The initiative reflects PTPTN's commitment to ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder access to tertiary education for capable but economically disadvantaged students. The agency regularly reviews its assistance schemes to identify and support eligible learners who face difficulties in meeting their educational expenses.
