CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — The municipal government of Puerto Galera announced it will reinstate its compressed workweek schedule beginning August 24, according to a public advisory released through official channels.
Under the arrangement, government offices will operate on extended daily schedules from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday. The schedule effectively consolidates the standard five-day work period into four days, allowing government employees to have Friday off.
The compressed workweek system is intended to optimize operational efficiency while providing administrative staff with an additional day off. The move follows the municipal government's decision to resume the schedule after a period of suspension.
All Puerto Galera residents and individuals requiring services from municipal government offices are advised to plan their visits accordingly during the specified operating hours on weekdays Monday through Thursday.
