Police in Pune have uncovered a widespread scheme in which Kurash wrestling certificates were fraudulently issued to candidates seeking government employment. The certificates allegedly documented participation in taluka, district, and state-level competitions that were never actually conducted.
Investigators said the fake credentials were systematically generated to create an appearance of legitimate competitive achievement. The certificates enabled candidates to meet recruitment qualifications for government positions across Maharashtra, according to police statements.
