Pune police registered a First Information Report (FIR) against 15 protesters following an unauthorized demonstration in the Navi Peth locality on Tuesday. According to the police complaint, the group assembled without obtaining necessary permissions from civic authorities and proceeded to block roads in the area.
The protest resulted in significant traffic disruptions and affected the normal movement of commuters and commercial traffic in the locality. The police stated that the unauthorized gathering also disturbed public peace, prompting immediate action by law enforcement.
The FIR has been registered under relevant sections pertaining to unlawful assembly and obstruction of public thoroughfares. The police have initiated an investigation to identify all participants involved in the demonstration and establish the circumstances that led to the unauthorized protest.
