Punjab AAP Steps Up Grassroots Campaign on Drug Fight Record
The Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab is intensifying door-to-door outreach to highlight its anti-narcotics drive and governance achievements, countering rival political messaging in the state.

Punjab's ruling Aam Aadmi Party has launched a comprehensive ground-level campaign to showcase the Mann government's performance on drug enforcement and broader policy initiatives. The move reflects efforts to consolidate political support through direct engagement with voters on the administration's flagship programmes.
Central to the outreach is the government's "Yudh Nashean Virudh" (War Against Drugs) campaign, which has been positioned as a flagship initiative since the party came to power. Party workers are using the door-to-door visits to explain the scope of anti-narcotics operations and present data on drug seizures and enforcement actions carried out under the scheme.
The grassroots strategy comes as competing parties have also stepped up their own public messaging campaigns across Punjab. The AAP campaign aims to reinforce the government's anti-drug credentials while highlighting other governance achievements to strengthen its ground presence ahead of key political cycles.
Party officials emphasize that the outreach programme is designed to directly engage citizens and gather feedback on government initiatives. The campaign represents a broader effort by the ruling dispensation to sustain momentum through localized communication strategies rather than relying solely on top-down political messaging.
