Punjab man kills wife with axe, takes own life in apparent domestic tragedy

A domestic tragedy unfolded in Punjab's Barnala district on Friday when a man allegedly killed his wife and subsequently took his own life. Karamjit Kaur, approximately 50 years old, was cutting fodder in a field near Channawal village when her husband Bhola Singh allegedly attacked her with an axe, resulting in her death.

Following the attack, Bhola Singh consumed a poisonous substance and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival. The sequence of events has left the local community shocked.
