A female sarpanch in Punjab's Saidolehal village fell victim to a brazen robbery when two men on a motorcycle wrenched gold earrings from her ears in broad daylight. The incident occurred in Amritsar district, where assailants distracted Amarjit Kaur before carrying out the theft and fleeing the scene.
The entire sequence of events was captured on closed-circuit television cameras in the area, providing authorities with crucial evidence for their investigation. Police registered a formal complaint under case number 113 following the incident.
Based on the CCTV footage, investigators have begun identifying the suspected perpetrators. The police are actively pursuing leads to apprehend those responsible for the robbery and recover the stolen jewelry.
