Putrajaya MRT line restored after brake fault; Kelana Jaya LRT stabilises

KUALA LUMPUR — Public transport operator Rapid KL announced the restoration of full service on the Putrajaya MRT Line on Monday after a train experienced a brake fault that had disrupted operations earlier in the day.
The incident prompted temporary service adjustments as maintenance teams attended to the affected train. The operator did not disclose specific details regarding the duration of the disruption or the number of passengers affected by the fault.
In a separate development, the Kelana Jaya LRT line has returned to normal operations following congestion at one of its stations earlier this week. Rapid KL attributed the congestion to higher than usual passenger volumes, which had been resolved through enhanced crowd management measures.
The sequential incidents highlight ongoing pressure on Kuala Lumpur's rail network during peak commuting periods. Rapid KL urged commuters to plan their journeys in advance and remain alert to service updates during busy travel times.
