MANILA — Quezon City's digital complaint platform has demonstrated strong performance in its initial months of operation, resolving the majority of reports submitted by residents seeking assistance with nonemergency matters.
The QC iReport system has addressed 4,580 complaints, concerns, requests and inquiries of the 5,589 filed since its launch nearly four months ago, according to city government data released this week. The 82 percent resolution rate indicates the platform's effectiveness in processing citizen submissions through a digital channel.
The system was designed to streamline how residents report nonemergency issues to city authorities. By shifting complaint handling to a digital platform, Quezon City aimed to improve response times and provide residents with a more convenient alternative to in-person reporting.
The resolution rate suggests the platform is fulfilling its intended purpose of addressing community concerns efficiently. City officials have positioned the QC iReport as part of broader efforts to modernize municipal services and enhance citizen engagement in the Philippines' largest city.
