Quy Nhon to host inaugural climate dialogue with over 100 delegates

The Quy Nhon Dialogue on Climate and Transition will bring together more than 100 delegates to discuss Vietnam's response to climate change and sustainable development challenges. Held under the patronage of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Binh Dinh provincial People's Committee, the event represents an ambitious effort to establish a dedicated platform for climate policy dialogue.

Supported by the French Development Agency (AFD), the dialogue serves as a "Zero Version" pilot programme designed to test and refine the format before transitioning to regular annual editions from 2027 onwards. The initiative reflects growing international commitment to supporting Vietnam's climate action agenda.

The dialogue addresses critical issues at the intersection of climate change adaptation, environmental protection, and economic transition. It comes as Vietnam seeks to balance its development objectives with commitments to sustainable forest management and greenhouse gas emissions reduction.

The event builds on recent collaborative efforts between Vietnam and international partners on climate resilience. It signals a broader shift toward structured, multi-stakeholder engagement on climate policy, establishing Quy Nhon as a venue for sustained dialogue on these vital issues.
