Rahul Gandhi calls on youth to sustain protests against constitutional threats

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday appealed to India's youth to persist in their protests, warning that those attempting to weaken constitutional values would not succeed in their objectives. Speaking at a public forum, Gandhi emphasised the importance of sustained civic engagement among younger generations in defence of democratic institutions.

The opposition leader directed sharp criticism at the ruling establishment, alleging that both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) were defined by a lack of courage. Gandhi argued that this characteristic would ultimately prove self-defeating in their broader political agenda.

His remarks come amid ongoing political tensions over questions of constitutional governance and institutional autonomy. The Congress leader's appeal represents the opposition's continued push to mobilise youth participation in what they frame as a defence of India's democratic framework.

Gandhi reiterated the Congress party's position that constitutional protections remain under threat and called for broader public awareness of these concerns among younger voters.
