Rail services disrupted at Kalamassery for signal maintenance work

Indian Railways has announced operational changes affecting multiple train services at Kalamassery station on October 27 to facilitate critical signal maintenance and upgrades. The work is part of ongoing efforts to enhance safety and operational efficiency on the route.

Two Vande Bharat Express services will operate with partial cancellation on the scheduled date, affecting passenger bookings on these high-speed services. Passengers holding tickets for these trains have been advised to check updated schedules and contact reservation centres for rebooking options.

The Mangala Lakshadweep Superfast Express will experience a 90-minute delay during the maintenance window. Railway authorities have attributed the service adjustments to the nature and scope of the signal work required at the station.

Travellers are urged to plan accordingly and verify train timings before undertaking journeys through Kalamassery on October 27. Indian Railways stated that the maintenance activity is essential for ensuring long-term operational reliability and passenger safety on this section.
