The Railway Protection Force (RPF) at Bengaluru railway station successfully traced and returned a bag containing high-value items to its rightful owner on Monday. The recovered belongings, which included gold ornaments, a laptop and other valuables, were estimated to be worth ₹29 lakh.
The passenger, who had misplaced the bag at the station, reported the matter to the RPF. Acting swiftly, the force's personnel located the bag and initiated verification procedures to confirm the claimant's identity and travel particulars before handing over the items.
The recovery underscores the Railway Protection Force's commitment to assisting passengers and maintaining security across railway premises. The force, which operates under the Ministry of Railways, handles policing and security matters at railway stations and onboard trains across India.
