Railways launches digital life certificate drive for Mysuru pensioners

Indian Railways has initiated a digital life certificate camp in Mysuru to facilitate easier pension verification for railway pensioners. The initiative forms part of the broader Nationwide Campaign 5.0, aimed at modernising the pension verification process across the railway network.

The digital life certificate system allows pensioners to submit proof of life electronically, eliminating the need for physical verification at designated centres. This digital-first approach is designed to reduce administrative burden and provide greater convenience to the elderly beneficiaries who depend on railway pensions.

The Mysuru division of Indian Railways plans to establish five additional camps across various stations in the region to ensure wider accessibility for pensioners. These camps will be equipped with necessary digital infrastructure and trained personnel to assist beneficiaries in the verification process.

The campaign reflects Railways' commitment to leveraging technology for improving pensioner services. By decentralising the verification process through multiple camps, the division aims to reduce travel burden on elderly pensioners while ensuring timely pension disbursement.

Railway officials have urged eligible pensioners in the Mysuru division to participate in the camps and complete their life certificate verification at the earliest convenience.
