Rajasthan authorities bust fake paneer operation supplying Delhi-NCR

Authorities in Deeg, Rajasthan, have shut down an illegal paneer manufacturing facility that was producing counterfeit cheese using soybean and skimmed milk powder instead of genuine dairy products. The operation targeted consumers across Delhi and neighboring NCR areas with the adulterated paneer.

During the enforcement action, officials confiscated approximately 1,800 kilograms of fake paneer from the facility. The seizure represents a significant quantity of unsafe food products that could have reached retail markets and household kitchens throughout the region.

Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the operation. Investigators are examining the full scope of the supply network, including distribution channels and retail outlets that may have received the counterfeit paneer.

The raid highlights persistent food safety concerns in dairy product manufacturing, where unscrupulous operators continue to substitute authentic ingredients with cheaper alternatives. Health authorities have intensified surveillance of paneer producers following multiple instances of adulteration detected across North India in recent years.
