Elections to Panchayati Raj institutions across Rajasthan will be conducted in four phases between October 23 and November 17, 2026, the State Election Commission announced on Saturday. The polling schedule covers elections for members of 41 Zila Parishads, 457 Panchayat Samitis and 14,403 Gram Panchayats following the delimitation and reorganisation of local bodies.
The elections for Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti representatives will occur on October 23, October 29, November 4 and November 14, with polling stations remaining open from 7 am to 6 pm on each date. State Election Commissioner Rajeshwar Singh said the electoral roll has expanded significantly, with 4,03,07,308 voters now eligible to participate, comprising 2,08,87,351 men, 1,94,19,789 women and 168 third-gender voters.
The voter base represents a 6.22 per cent increase compared to the previous panchayat elections held in 2020-21. To facilitate the voting process, the commission will establish 45,384 polling stations across the state. Singh said detailed guidelines and operational protocols for the elections would be issued separately by the election body.
