The Tamil-language action thriller Jailer 2, featuring megastar Rajinikanth, has achieved a significant commercial milestone by crossing Rs 500 crore gross collections across India. The film's cumulative India gross collection stands at Rs 502.65 crore, with net collections reaching Rs 429.55 crore as of day 15 of its theatrical run.
On day 15, the film collected Rs 5.90 crore net in India, reflecting an 18 per cent drop from the previous day's earnings. The decline appears consistent with typical box office patterns observed during weekdays following strong opening weekend performance.
The film's ability to breach the half-billion rupee gross collection barrier underscores its commercial appeal and Rajinikanth's continued drawing power at the box office. The sequel has demonstrated resilience in maintaining audience interest despite facing competition in the marketplace.
With collections still accruing during the second week of its run, Jailer 2 remains positioned to add further to its overall tally.
