ILIGAN CITY — Law enforcement authorities in Misamis Oriental successfully captured a rape suspect on Monday who had evaded arrest for two years, according to police officials. Col. Al Abanales, director of the Misamis Oriental Police Provincial Office, confirmed the arrest was made through coordinated efforts involving the Opol Municipal Police Station, the Provincial Intelligence Unit, and the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company.
The suspect faces five counts of rape. Details regarding the alleged victims and the circumstances of the crimes were not immediately disclosed by authorities.
